How Gelagen Works

Gelagen works through nutrition, from the inside. Thirteen nutrients, four jobs in the skin, hair and nails — and a timeline set by how fast those tissues actually grow.

From the gummy to the fingertip

Step 1. Chew two gummies a day

Two raspberry gummies, once daily, with a full glass of water. Morning or afternoon, with food or without — the time of day matters far less than taking them at the same time every day.

Step 2. Thirteen nutrients go to work

Vitamin C and the B group are water-soluble and absorbed quickly, which is why a daily dose matters. Vitamins A, D and E are fat-soluble and stay in tissue longer.

Step 3. Your blood carries them where they are needed

B12 and folate support red blood cell formation, and red blood cells are what feed the base of every follicle and every nail bed. Nothing works on hair or nails without that delivery.

Step 4. Keratin gets its raw material, and you see it grow out

Biotin, B6, pantothenic acid and zinc sit in the keratin pathways. Nails move about 3 mm a month and hair about 1 cm, so the new growth becomes visible over two to three months. That is exactly why our bundles run 90 and 180 days.

The four jobs our nutrients do

• Keratin support — biotin, B6, pantothenic acid, zinc. Hair and nails are keratin, a structural protein assembled in the follicle and the nail matrix. Biotin, vitamin B6 and pantothenic acid sit in the pathways that build it, and zinc supports normal skin and repair. Gelagen supplies a full 5,000 mcg of biotin per serving — and prints that figure on the panel so you can check it.
• Cell renewal — folate and vitamin B12. A growing hair follicle is one of the most metabolically active structures in the body. Folate contributes to normal cell division and B12 to normal red blood cell formation — the blood that carries every nutrient to the follicle and nail bed. Our B12 is methylcobalamin, the active form, and our folate is stated correctly as 442 mcg DFE.
• Antioxidant support — vitamins A, C and E. Vitamin C is a required cofactor for the collagen your body makes itself. Vitamin E is the antioxidant in cell membranes; vitamin A is central to normal skin turnover. We supply all three at nutritional amounts, and we say plainly that Gelagen contains no collagen or hyaluronic acid — the support is nutritional, from the inside.
• Everyday balance — vitamin D and iodine. Vitamin D contributes to normal immune function and many people run low in winter; iodine supports normal thyroid function, which sits behind hair and skin health. What "works" honestly means here

Nails grow about 3 mm a month. Hair grows about 1 cm a month. Skin renews on a cycle of roughly 28 days. Those numbers, not our marketing, set the timeline: nutritional support for hair and nails only becomes visible as new growth comes through, which is two to three months for nails and longer for hair. Anyone promising you a fixed change on a fixed date is guessing. That biology is exactly why our bundles run 90 and 180 days, and why our guarantee runs a full 60 days rather than a fortnight.

What Gelagen does not do

• It does not supply collagen or hyaluronic acid. Neither is on the panel. It supplies the vitamin C your body needs to make its own collagen.
• It does not replace sunscreen. Daily broad-spectrum SPF is the most evidence-based skin intervention there is. The AAD publishes free guidance.
• It does not treat a condition. A persistent rash, sudden hair loss or nail changes that do not grow out need a dermatologist.
