Honest about what it is not

Gelagen contains no collagen and no hyaluronic acid; it supplies the nutrients your body uses to make and maintain its own. It is not a substitute for sunscreen, which remains the single most evidence-based skin intervention there is.

The four jobs behind those benefits

• Keratin support — biotin, B6, pantothenic acid, zinc. Hair and nails are keratin, a structural protein assembled in the follicle and the nail matrix. Biotin, vitamin B6 and pantothenic acid sit in the pathways that build it, and zinc supports normal skin and repair. Gelagen supplies a full 5,000 mcg of biotin per serving — and prints that figure on the panel so you can check it.
• Cell renewal — folate and vitamin B12. A growing hair follicle is one of the most metabolically active structures in the body. Folate contributes to normal cell division and B12 to normal red blood cell formation — the blood that carries every nutrient to the follicle and nail bed. Our B12 is methylcobalamin, the active form, and our folate is stated correctly as 442 mcg DFE.
• Antioxidant support — vitamins A, C and E. Vitamin C is a required cofactor for the collagen your body makes itself. Vitamin E is the antioxidant in cell membranes; vitamin A is central to normal skin turnover. We supply all three at nutritional amounts, and we say plainly that Gelagen contains no collagen or hyaluronic acid — the support is nutritional, from the inside.
• Everyday balance — vitamin D and iodine. Vitamin D contributes to normal immune function and many people run low in winter; iodine supports normal thyroid function, which sits behind hair and skin health. Both are on the panel at modest amounts. If you take thyroid medication, please read our safety section.

What we do not claim — and why we say so

• No disease claims. Gelagen does not treat, cure or prevent any skin, hair or nail condition.
• No collagen and no hyaluronic acid. Neither is on the panel. We supply the vitamin C your body needs to make its own collagen.
• No promised timelines. Nails grow 3 mm a month and hair 1 cm; the biology sets the pace, not us. Individual results vary.
• Not a substitute for sunscreen. Daily broad-spectrum SPF remains the most evidence-based skin intervention there is.

In the United States, claims beyond that put any brand on the wrong side of FTC health-claim guidance. We would rather make fewer, truer claims.

What genuinely supports skin, hair and nails

• Sunscreen, every day. The single largest lever on how skin looks in ten years.
• Protein and a varied diet. Keratin is protein; the amino acids come from food, not a gummy.
• Sleep, and not smoking. Both show in the skin within weeks.
• Getting persistent changes assessed by a dermatologist rather than self-treating for months.

Gelagen is designed to sit alongside all of that as one easy daily habit — not to replace any of it.
