What's Inside Gelagen

The full Supplement Facts panel, what each nutrient is there to do, and what is not on the label.

Written by Marcus Delaney Medically reviewed by Dr. Naomi Castellanos, MD, FAAD Updated 10 September 2026 How we review

Thirteen nutrients per two-gummy serving, exactly as printed on our Supplement Facts panel — amount, form and Daily Value beside every one. No proprietary blend. Here is the full panel, then what each nutrient is there to do.

Quick answer

Per two gummies: biotin 5,000 mcg, vitamin B12 6 mcg (methylcobalamin), vitamin B6 2 mg, folate 442 mcg DFE, pantothenic acid 5.2 mg, vitamin A 630 mcg, vitamin C 20 mg, vitamin D 10 mcg, vitamin E 7.4 mg, zinc 2.7 mg, iodine 42 mcg, choline 0.04 mg, inositol 40 mcg — every amount printed. No proprietary blend, no collagen, no hyaluronic acid.

Please read before your first gummy

Each Gelagen serving contains 5,000 mcg of biotin, which the FDA has warned can interfere with some laboratory blood tests — tell your doctor before any blood draw. It also contains 630 mcg of preformed vitamin A and 42 mcg of iodine: speak to your doctor first if you are pregnant or nursing, take thyroid medication, or manage a diagnosed condition. Adults only; never more than two gummies a day; keep out of reach of children. Gelagen is a dietary supplement, not a treatment for any skin, hair or nail condition, and it does not replace daily sunscreen.

What each nutrient is there to do

Biotin — natural food sources

Biotin — 5,000 mcg (16,667% DV)

The nutrient hair and nail formulas are built around. Biotin sits in the enzyme pathways that build keratin, the protein hair and nails are made of, and contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and skin. We supply a full 5,000 mcg per serving and print it. Because this is a high dose, please tell your doctor before any blood test: the FDA has warned that biotin at supplement levels can interfere with some laboratory assays.

Vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin

Vitamin B12 — 6 mcg as methylcobalamin (250% DV)

We chose methylcobalamin, the active form, rather than cyanocobalamin. B12 contributes to normal red blood cell formation, and red blood cells are what carry every nutrient to the base of a follicle.

Vitamin B6 as pyridoxine hydrochloride Pantothenic acid as d-calcium pantothenate

Vitamin B6 — 2 mg (118% DV) and pantothenic acid — 5.2 mg (104% DV)

Both sit at the centre of protein and energy metabolism, which keratin production depends on. Pantothenic acid forms the backbone of coenzyme A, the molecule every energy pathway in a skin cell runs through.

Folate — natural food sources

Folate — 442 mcg DFE (111% DV)

Supplied as 260 mcg of folic acid and stated correctly on the panel as dietary folate equivalents. Folate drives cell division, and a hair follicle in its growing phase divides constantly.

Vitamins A, C and E — 630 mcg, 20 mg, 7.4 mg

Vitamin A (as retinyl acetate) is central to normal skin turnover; the same family sits at the heart of dermatology. Vitamin C is a required cofactor for the collagen your body makes itself. Vitamin E, as natural d-alpha tocopherol, is the antioxidant in cell membranes. All three are at nutritional amounts, and vitamin A in particular should not be stacked with another supplement.

Zinc — 2.7 mg as zinc citrate (25% DV), vitamin D — 10 mcg (50% DV), iodine — 42 mcg (28% DV)

Zinc citrate is a well-absorbed form supporting normal skin and repair. Vitamin D contributes to normal immune function. Iodine supports normal thyroid function, which sits behind hair and skin health — and is why anyone on thyroid medication should ask their doctor first.

Choline — 0.04 mg and inositol — 40 mcg

Both are present at trace amounts, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise: the panel prints choline at 0% of the Daily Value. They round out the formula; they are not the reason to buy it.

What is not on the panel

Collagen and hyaluronic acid. Neither appears anywhere on our label. Gelagen supports your skin through the nutrients your body uses to make and maintain its own collagen — vitamin C above all — rather than by supplying collagen to swallow. We say this plainly because some artwork circulating for beauty gummies implies otherwise, and we would rather you bought Gelagen for what it is.

FDA-registered is not FDA-approved

Gelagen is manufactured in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility. That means the site is on file with the agency and follows Good Manufacturing Practice. No dietary supplement is FDA-approved, including ours, and any page claiming otherwise is misleading you.

Getting the most out of it

  • Chew two gummies at the same time every day — never more
  • Tell your doctor you take a high-biotin supplement before any blood test
  • Photograph your nails on day one; compare at day 60 and day 90
  • Keep wearing daily sunscreen — nothing in a bottle replaces it
  • Do not stack with another vitamin A supplement
  • Set a reminder for day 50 so your guarantee decision is never rushed
